Standard Installation
Professional Installation
Standard
Commercial/Small Business Installation includes those locations one
or two floors high. Installation includes:
- Mounting the antenna (dish) to a flat concrete base, flat roof
or wall using one of our standard mounting brackets. Antennas
should be mounted out of the reasonable reach of small children.
Standard Installation does not include the provision of a
concrete base.
- Wall mounts cannot be fixed to 'infill' brickwork but must be
attached to a reinforced concrete wall or building 'skeleton'.
Building plans may be required to identify the location of the
'skeleton'.
- Two exterior cable runs or one dual run of up to 30m of
standard RG6 (7mm diameter) coaxial cable with one point of entry
through an exterior wall.
- Installing and weather sealing appropriate cable bushing.
- Conducting a cross polarization test of the DIRECWAY system to
verify receipt of satellite signal on the installer laptop. Where
possible, the installer will use the customer's PC to confirm
receipt of the satellite signal.
Non-Standard Commercial/Small
Business Installation includes:
-
Installations with cable in
excess of 30m from the DIRECWAY dish to the DIRECWAY receiver
and/or requiring additional drops or hardware are classified as
non-standard installs.
- Installations that
require custom dish-mounts
-
Locations that are
unusually high or require specialised scaffolding or other safety
equipment.
In all cases, the type
of installation will be identified during the site survey and
appropriate additional costs includes in the formal site quotation.
